Anthem Project - ”Creating Together” 90s Hip-Hop Specialty Label

Cream Team Records is a ”creator collective” label specializing in 90s hip-hop where anyone can participate in creative activities as a rapper or track maker. In June 2023, we will launch the participatory project "Anthem Project" and begin operations in earnest.

The Anthem Project

"C.r.e.a.m. Team Anthem," created as an evolved version of an instrumental track by "DJ MITSU THE BEATS" for the label's concept movie.

Any artist signed to the label can record and release this track. Prior to the general call for rappers, a song featuring "KEN THE 390" will be released for this track. This will mark the start of the lead rapper for the anthem project.

KEN THE 390

Rapper and leader of the music label ”DREAM BOY.” After gaining experience in freestyle battles, he debuted in 2006 with the album "Prologue." He has released 11 original albums to date. He also appeared as a judge on the MC battle program "Freestyle Dungeon," which aired on TV Asahi, and his accurate comments garnered attention. In recent years, he has expanded his activities, centered around rap/HIP HOP, to include producing boy groups.

We believe in the momentum of the golden age of hip-hop, the 90s. Sampling, featuring, remixing, mic relay. An era filled with the joy and energy of music. We will revive the momentum of this era in modern times.

Age, place of residence, nationality, and experience are not required.

We do not consider applicants' age, place of residence, nationality, or language. Prior experience is not required.

Individuals not affiliated with a specific production

We want to support aspiring rappers with talent. This is the perfect project to launch their careers.

Lyrics, rap styles, and anything deemed as pranks or jeers cannot participate.

We have a dedicated recording studio in Tokyo. We record on a fixed schedule every month.

Production Concept

The rap you create must include the following two points. Anything deviating from these concepts will not be accepted.

1. Include your artist number in the lyrics

Artists registered with Cream Team Records will be assigned an individual artist number. Artist numbers are optional, so please apply for a number that suits your preferences.

As long as other artists aren't using it, you'll get the number you want.

2. Include enthusiasm for participating in Cream Team Records within the lyrics.

The passion for joining a label that anyone can freely participate in, and writing lyrics about the origin of starting rap and how you approach it.

Will the quality and reception of your music lead to opportunities for further advancement, such as creating original songs or collaborating with famous artists!?

A. Is there a fee to participate?

Participation in this project is completely free. However, please bear the costs of transportation and recording (such as studio rental fees) yourself if you wish to record in Tokyo.

Q. I'm inexperienced. Can I join the project?

Of course, it's possible. We encourage anyone interested in rap, who likes rap, or wants to try it themselves, to apply.

What preparations should I make?

When applying, please submit a demo tape (music file such as mp3). The backtrack can be anything. It doesn't have to be a formally recorded track; even a recording made with an iPhone microphone is acceptable. Quality is not a concern. *We request demo tapes to check your enthusiasm and seriousness about participating in the project.*

Anthem Project Terms of Participation

The Anthem Project Participation Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement") is an agreement that applies to participants (hereinafter referred to as "participants") who participate in the project (hereinafter referred to as "this project") organized and operated by Cream Team Records (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").

Participants shall participate in the project after agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Article 1 (How to Participate)

The organizer of this project is Cream Team Records (operated by Cream Team Marketing LLC). When participating in this project, please read the privacy policy, concept, etc., on the relevant page of the website thoroughly.

Please submit your entries for this project using the designated entry form. We will not accept entries submitted through any other means, such as email, mail, or in person.

By entering this project or submitting a demo tape, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Article 2 (Eligibility)

Only those who adhere to the following specific rules and conditions can participate in this project. All participants must be 18 years of age or older. *If under 18 years of age, parental consent is required.

(2) We do not ask about the applicant's age, place of residence, nationality, or language. Experience is not required.
(3) Individuals not affiliated with a specific production
(4) Participation as a group is also possible

Applications for participation in this project will be deemed invalid in the following cases:

(1) If there is any false information in the application details
(2) In cases of unauthorized access to the site, fraudulent use of email addresses, or other fraudulent acts
(3) When it is determined by us that the application was made automatically by a program and the like.
(4) In case of violation of these terms
(5) In addition, if we deem participation in the project to be inappropriate

Article 3 (Prohibited Acts)

Participation in the following actions is prohibited [by participants]. Participants who engage in the following prohibited actions may be cautioned by our staff and may be asked to leave.

2 Notwithstanding the Company's actions pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the Company shall not compensate any damages incurred by the Participant.

Article 4 (Copyrights, etc.)

Our staff may film or record project-related content, such as recording sessions.

2. Upon participation in the project, the copyrights of the artist photos, videos, articles, and other works created in relation to the project (hereinafter referred to as "Project Works") shall belong to our company or contractors commissioned by our company, etc.

3 We may publish the copyrighted works of this project on media such as our company's website and other internet platforms, newspapers, and magazines.

4. Participants shall enter this project with their prior consent to the recording, disclosure, and use of their images, photographs, audio, and/or likeness as stipulated in the preceding paragraph. Participants shall not exercise any rights related to portrait rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights, nor demand any compensation, regarding the recording, disclosure, and use determined at our company's discretion.

The copyrights or neighboring rights for this project's backtrack (C.R.E.A.M. Team Anthem Inst. Ver.) belong to CRE@M Records, DJ MITSU THE BETS as the writer, and XX as the sampling source. Redistribution by anyone other than our company is prohibited for any reason.

Participants shall waive all moral rights concerning the works recorded in this project and agree to the Company's use of the recorded works on its website and other media (whether currently known or hereafter developed) in connection with the promotion of the works.

7 Participants agree to grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable license to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, modify, and store all intellectual property rights for the entire duration of their entry into this project or their recorded works.

Article 5 (Disclaimer)

The company shall not be liable for any accidents, including injury, illness, loss, theft, or any other incidents, that may occur to participants during their involvement in this project.

If a participant causes damage to us, other participants, or any third party due to a violation of these terms and conditions, the participant shall compensate for such damage.

In the event of a dispute between a participant and other participants or any third party arising from this project, the participant shall resolve such dispute at their own expense and responsibility, and the Company shall bear no liability whatsoever.

Article 6 (Personal Information)

The personal information of participants that our company acquires will be managed in accordance with our privacy policy.

Participants are deemed to have agreed to our privacy policy.

Article 7 (Exclusion of Antisocial Forces)

1 The participant hereby confirms the following matters.

(1) That the applicant is not a yakuza, a yakuza member, a person who has not been a yakuza member for five years, an associate member of a yakuza, a company related to a yakuza, a corporate racketeer, a professional agitator, or a special intelligent crime syndicate, or any other similar entity (hereinafter collectively referred to as "antisocial forces").

(2) Having a relationship that is recognized as utilizing anti-social forces, such as with the intent to obtain unjust profit for oneself or a third party, or with the intent to cause damage or harm to a third party.

(3) Have a relationship recognized as being involved, such as providing funds or conveniences to anti-social forces. 2 If a participant falls under any of the preceding paragraphs, we will refuse their participation in the project.

Article 8 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

Japanese law shall apply to matters concerning these Terms and Conditions. The Tokyo District Court shall be the exclusive court of first instance, by agreement of the parties, for any disputes concerning these Terms and Conditions or the Project.
